The Rt Hon Dr. Liam Fox, MP is one of the most experienced conservatives and staunchest supporters of economic freedom in Parliament.
The Rt Hon Dr. Liam Fox is a Member of Parliament for North Somerset. Fox studied medicine at the University of Glasgow and became a general practitioner (GP) and civilian Army GP before entering public service. During his tenure in Parliament, Dr. Fox has held illustrious positions including the Shadow Health Secretary, Shadow Foreign Secretary, and Shadow Defense Secretary.
In 2010 Prime Minister David Cameron appointed Dr. Fox as the Secretary of State for Defense, a position that he held for over a year before returning back to the benches. Following Brexit, Dr. Fox was appointed as the first Secretary of International Trade by Prime Minister Theresa May. Serving in this position for over three years, Fox focused on expanding free trade agreements and unleashing innovation in the U.K.
